How was your childhood? What did you hear about rich people when you were young? What your parents and relatives were saying about money and being rich? What opinions do they share about that subject between them? What believes they hold about money, abundance and wealth? I have heard a lot of things like, rich people are thieves, tricksters, manipulators and many more epithets along this line. In general, I was raised in belive, that being rich, equals being a bad person. That monies are evil and bring the whole sin and corruption into the world.
Later, I discovered that a lot of my friends was believing this kind of ideas as well. From all my findings and all my dealings with people, I found that most of them were thinking this way. Of course, they wanted to be rich, but at the same time, they criticise wealth and all other forms of abundance. I was confused by all that. I suppose you are confused as well, and I am not surprised. Humanity is full of contradictory believes and behaviours. They want something that at laud they proclaim as bad. You might find out that you think similarly and you want things that, you believe, are bad. This contradiction is actually very harming for you.
But, try to answers to following. Is the rich really bad? Is it being rich, something that needs to be disgraced? Is having lots of money make you a thieve or criminal? Is it make you a bad person? How long you want to believe in that? How long you will allow those beliefs to hold you from moving forward? Do you really want to believe in these theories? What profit you have by believing in them? Does this bring you any good? I did not find any positive bit in these beliefs. But it is my opinion, maybe this kind of beliefs is giving you something useful.
Though, if you, like me, are confused by all that, and you do not see any value in keeping this belief, I have good news for you. You do not have to believe in all that anymore. You can create your own belief. Or use the one shared by Wallace D. Wattles, the ancestor of “The Secret”. He says that wealth is good, being rich is necessary and even more, mandatory, for you. Wealth is required to grow, to advance in the field you choose for yourself. To learn new things that are of your interest to. Wealth gives you opportunities to become a better version of you. Wealth and abundance are natural, healthy and rational states of life.
In his book, he explains that in more details. He wrote that there is a whole since behind being rich. He also reveals to readers steps on how to get rich, why you need to get rich, what makes you rich, Though, he expresses also a very important message about this desire. He wrote – “You must get rid of the thought of competition. You are to create, not to compete for what is already created… You do not have to take anything away from any one… You do not have to drive sharp bargains.” He describes the power of gratitude and the necessity of growing. He says that continuous advance is essential for your happiness. If you like to know more the links are below the post.
