Get out from your head.

Get out from your head.

Hello, Tribers.
How many times you have been lost in your thoughts? How many times have these thoughts troubled you? Why it is not good to lock yourself in your mind? What does this mean and can you somehow release yourself? Let’s find this out together.

What can make you lock-in in your head?

Why did this happen? Why this is happening to me? What I am doing wrong? Why am I so unlucky? Why I am punished? And what for? – Have you ever had these kinds of thoughts? Have you ever been so lost in these kinds of thoughts, that you could not stop yourself from overthinking? Locking yourself inside of your head. Deaf, blind and ignoring outside events, helpful hands and advice. Observing our times, you might get a kind of impression, that instead of improving, everything just falling apart. And surely, if you will pick any news channel or other source of information, they feed all of us mostly with the bad, negative reports.

So, no wonder there is so many negative people. So many depressed and unhappy individuals. Are you one of them? I know that when you find yourself in some difficult situation, you might have the impression that there is no solution to it. And, depending on your uprising as well as many other factors, your brain might suggest that you are done. That there is nothing else you can do. And that there is no point in even trying or doing anything, as none of that is going to help you. It is easy to listen to that suggestion and just sit and cry. Or to lie in the bed, hibernating yourself to skip those unpleasant events.

Seeing all this, focusing on these kinds of circumstances, might make you start to overthink. Seeking for issues and troubles within your life. And I am sure you will find them. As is said, whatever you will be looking for, you most likely will find. This, in consequence, might start making you lock yourself inside your head even more, with your troubling thoughts. As you might feel that this is the right way and you need to do that this way. Keep it all in you. Using also an excuse, that you do not want to spread this negativity any further. Very noble excuse. Though…

Why do you do that to yourself?

Do you like, when your thoughts are buzzing in your head? When one after another, those thoughts just pop in, bringing more and more depressing outcomes of what you hear and of what assumptions you have made of that. Is that something you are enjoying? Something you like to continue? Is it really? I can not believe that. How do you feel about all this? How does all that impact your mood? Is that makes you feel good?

Is it that, what your mind telling you, true? Does your mind, telling you the truth? Can you trust it? Your mind is kind of a cheeky monkey. It is great at solving issues, developing things, creating art, and many other different things. However, it has one huge malfunction. Whenever you meet an obstacle on your path, it begins to search for solutions and when the information it gets is not really optimistic, or there are other obstacles showing up all the time, by assumptions your mind creates a vortex of doom. Telling you, you will not manage. You will fail. And so on and so forth.

Now, the worst thing you can do, when this happens, is to believe in it and close yourself inside your head with those thoughts. Battling with them, presuming you can win alone. This is possible, however, it is extremely difficult and very rare. Usually, it ends with you getting very upset and just giving up. Moreover, it is also quite likely to happen, that you get depressed or even physically ill. Do you like that kind of vision? I hope and pray, you don’t.

How can you unleash yourself?

This kind of sitting in your mind. Locking yourself with all those negative, pessimistic thoughts will do no good to you. I can assure you of that. Thou what can you do? Maybe for a starter, you will search someone with whom you can talk freely. Someone who will be listening to you carefully. Without making any assumptions or judgements. Without jumping to some conclusions in the middle of your sentence. Someone who can bring a new, fresh view to your situation.

It might be your friend, relative or even higher intelligence, higher instance, god. The most important is to let those thoughts out without hesitation or fear that you will be judged. If talking with anyone is not an option for you, you might want to use another technique, which I mention already many times. You guess right. Take a pen and paper and just write everything that is racing inside your head. Do not judge that. Do not care about grama or correctness. Just write it all down. And then burn it.

Finally, you might want to search for professional help, from some therapist, psychologist or coach. Choose the method that resonates with you the most. However, let that out. Do not let those thoughts drag you down. Do not let the feeling that you should not spread your troubles, hold you back. Moreover, very important for you to remember is, so you do not drop this kind of bomb on someone sensitive. And by any means, sharing this kind of opinion, be cautious to not attack or accuse anyone.
