You probably know that your internal world has a huge impact on your external one. While we’re still learning about how that exactly works, there are tons of research to support the theory that what you think and feel impacts your life in big ways. If you’re new to this concept or want a refresher, here are some ways your internal world impacts your outer world.
What does this all mean?
In simple words, how would you explain this subject? I am curious, so please write your thoughts in the comment section. Anyway. You might notice that, when you think about something and this thought is disturbing you a lot, creating many strong emotions, this usually makes this thing happen. Basically, expectations affect reality. This theory states, that whatever you expect to happen will happen. If you expect to fail, you’re more likely to fail. If you expect to succeed, you’re more likely to succeed. It’s as simple as that. This theory also teaches us, that we can change our lives, simply by changing the way we think about them.
Let’s say, you met a girl, you would like to talk with her, perhaps go for a walk, for coffee or to the cinema. Yet, in your head, you have all the time, a vision of yourself, not knowing how to start that conversation. Or making some stupid mistake during it. It is highly possible this will happen. Similarly, if you for example will think about how happy you are that you will see her and how would you both enjoy this time together. Then no matter what would have happened during your date, because you are focusing and thinking, about the positive aspects of this meeting, concentrating on the joy that you are feeling, you will have a great time, right? How is that, you might ask. The answer is pretty simple and recently, it is repeated quite often nearly by everyone. It says, where is your focus there you see results.
Your thoughts and feelings can even impact your environment in a variety of ways. They can literally leave a mark on your physical environment. If you’ve ever been really upset and felt like you needed to break something, you know, that your emotions can physically manifest. Your circumstances can also be influenced by your relationships. If you’re in a relationship with someone who is always stressed out and negative, you’ll probably find that your emotions become more negative as well. On the flip side, if you’re in a relationship with someone who is generally calm and positive, you’ll likely find that your emotions are more positive as well.
Why is this important to take care of your thoughts and emotions?
Knowing this you can, kind of, manipulate the outcome of many situations, impact your surroundings and, a bit as by using magic, change your outside world. Do not expect thou, that, by simply thinking about, let’s say, this girl you dream about all the time, she will magically find out about this, and fall in love with you. Or that, because you think about being rich, the money and other wealth will start appearing in front of you by themselves. Thinking and feeling strong emotions are just one part of the equation. As happened with many things in life, to have effects there are more things required. This is a topic for itself, thou.
Your thoughts can cause a wide range of behavioural and motivational outcomes. These include the ability to make decisions, solve problems, make logical connections, take action when needed and control your impulses. Even more, they can affect your physical health. Positive thoughts can also improve your self-confidence and make you feel more capable and competent. Your thoughts are what drive your motivation. If you’re thinking positively and your thoughts are in line with your values, they will inspire you to do the things you know you should do, like taking care of your health, your self-development, relationships and business/career. Your thoughts and emotions can literally create your reality, they can help you succeed or hold you back. It’s up to you which path you take.
Furthermore, your feelings impact your thoughts because they’re one of the most important pieces of information you can use to make decisions. They directly affect your life. You can’t control what happens to you, but you can control how you react and respond. The choice is yours as to whether you want to be happy or sad, stressed or relaxed, etc. Your feelings shape your thoughts about yourself, your environment, and even other people. When you feel positive emotions like love, gratitude, and enthusiasm, you’re more likely to think positive thoughts. If you’re feeling negative emotions, you’re more likely to think negatively. As a result, this can lead you to the path of success or failure. Help you achieve more of your goals and make the most of your life.
How can you ensure your thoughts are making a positive change?
You have the power to change your life by changing how you think and feel. Your thoughts are a powerful tool, that can help you achieve your goals, overcome obstacles, and live an abundant life or hold you back. Now it’s up to you to decide how you will use them. Your thoughts and emotions can create your reality. Yes, that means you have the power to change your life by changing how you think and feel. Your thoughts will automatically be focused on what you feel is most important. That means if you’re feeling bad, your thoughts will be focused on resolving the cause of your negative feelings. If you’re feeling good, you’ll be more likely to focus on thoughts related to building on your positive feelings.
If you want to change your emotions, simply change your thoughts. You can do this by changing your focus. For example, if you’re feeling sad and are thinking about past events that made you feel that way, you can shift your thoughts to focus on something more positive. This doesn’t mean you have to change your thoughts to what you consider to be false, but rather use different thoughts to get different emotions. Let’s say, you’re feeling low energy and don’t know why, you can ask yourself, what you’re focused on. You may find that you’re thinking about what you have to do today, and you’re feeling stressed out as a result. In this case, you can shift your thinking to something that makes you feel more energized, like looking forward to something pleasant you have planned for later.
Become aware of what you’re thinking, and you can make your internal world better by enhancing your positive thoughts and eliminating your negative ones. If you catch yourself thinking about something negative, you can modify it to something positive. You just have to be willing to make the effort. Don’t wait for your thoughts to change on their own. Actively work to alter them by putting some effort into it. You can start by identifying the negative beliefs you have. Make a list of all the negative thoughts you have on a daily basis. This can be helpful because when you write something down, it’s out of your head and you have more time to process and deal with it. You can pair this with meditation to really get to the root of the issue.
Now that you have a better idea of how your thoughts and feelings can impact your life, you can make a conscious effort to ensure that they’re positive. Remember, that your thoughts and emotions have the power to influence how you see, hear and experience the world around you. When you get into the habit of thinking positively, you’re more likely to experience positive outcomes in your life.
