Reiki name

Consists of two parts "rei" and "ki". Rei means universal energy animating everything around, or divine force, or source of love. Ki (Chinese chi) is individual energy. Each of us has a unique Ki of his own. The earth, the sun, the moon, plants and animals all have Ki. By placing these two concepts together, Rei - ki, we get the energy of love that connects each of us with the universal energy.

Origin

Reiki has been known for over 3,000 years, and its origins can be found in the Tibetan culture. It was the art of healing and spiritual development. At a certain time, the art of healing with Reiki was abandoned due to persecution. They were caused by the belief that there is no such thing as healing energy. Healing by touching the hand was not believed, and it was hailed as witchcraft, and the masters of this field were persecuted.

Rediscovery

Until Dr Mikao Usui, then a Catholic priest and lecturer of theology and rector of the Christian University in Kyoto, Japan, declassified its universal values ​​at the end of the 19th century.

Reiki and religion
